Could someone explain to me the system of rates in thr RAN.

I assume the officers ranks are the same as the RN.Do they have leading hands and POs in the RAN?

Sailors and NCOs:
Seaman - SMN
Able Seaman - AB
Leading Seaman - LS
Petty officer - PO
Chief Petty Officer - CPO
Warrant Officer - WO
Warrant Officer of the Navy - WO-N

Officers:
Midshipman - MIDN
Acting Sub Lieutenant - ASLT
Sub Lieutenant - SBLT
Lieutenant - LEAT
Lieutenant Commander - LCDR
Commander - CMDR
Captain - CAPT
Commodore - CDRE
Rear Admiral - RADM
Vice Admiral - VADM
Admiral - ADM

is there such thing as an able seaman boatswains mate?
i read it in a magazine but i would have assumed that a bosuns mate would be a PO.
