Default Air raid Manila, this is not a drill! (REL)

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4358

Now set air defense condition one, all hands man your battle stations. Now set the special sea and anchor detail, make all preparations for getting underway. Ready to answer bells on four main engines, cast them lines off and let's get OUT of here, zeros approaching from the south. I should have listened to my mother and joined the Army. Fighting our way out of a shallow water harbor is not a good way to start a career.

Failed to mention that, didn't I? I have 1.4, should work for 1.5 but I have no way to test that. I did test with TMO a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, don't remember which version.
\Data\Campaigns\Campaign\US_NavalBases.mis
and
Data\UPCData\UPCCampaignData\Flotillas.upc

are the only files involved, so anything that doesn't overwrite one of those should be fine. In fact IIRC the only reason Flotillas.upc is needed is to change the home port for Asiatic subs after the fall of Java from Freemantle to Phantom 42, so if you're doing a Pearl Harbor career you could delete that one. Even in Asiatic you could leave it out if you don't mind the long slogging trek from Australia to where the action is.

You should upgrade to 1.5, you won't regret it. I held out for a while on the principal of "I shouldn't have to pay for a patch!" But it was worth it...I still hold to my principal though.

Yeah, I might break down someday and buy the "gold" edition if I can be GUARANTEED that there's no "insert key disk in drive to continue" BS. My youngest son is autistic and too often unaware of what he's doing, so copy protected games have to be the kind you register a serial number, zip the game folder and throw the disk away. Otherwise they get scratched within a few months so you can no longer play the game. Copyguard has been the bane of my existence since they started using it. I bought the Direct2Drive version of SH4 mainly so I wouldn't have to deal with the Sacred Holy Copy Protection Key Disk, unfortunately GameFly bought Direct2Drive and the process of downloading something you bought from Direct2Drive 10 years ago is irritating tedious aggravating installation of their sillyassed download manager and plugins and updates for two days, then the actual game download stops after 14 hours and you have to start over.

Got a simple DVD you can just copy the whole smash to hard drive and install it from there, then toss the disc out the window, I'll buy it.

I own the gold edition and I can say that all you do is install and play when that's done. No CD keys or anything like that.

Yea, get a disk and Gold, most use 1.5 base supermods so better to make your mods from there. I hope I don't ever need my disk again, have no idea where it is since I moved...

Okay, I'll try it this summer when the heating bills are paid up. This winter was brutal. No key disk = sale, gotta wonder how many sales all these paranoid game companies have lost due to copy protection - I understand piracy is a problem, but you don't use a bomb to put out a fire in your living room.

So that's why I couldn't get Vista to work.

We'll I have good news and bad news. It does work with 1.5 stock, but not with TMO or RSRDC or OTC1.5 or Travellers mod.

Dunno about the other two, but I just looked at the TMO version I have stowed away, it modifies both \Data\Campaigns\Campaign\US_NavalBases.mis
and
Data\UPCData\UPCCampaignData\Flotillas.upc

Never tried RSRD but since it's a campaign I imagine it does too.

If you could make a version compatible with TMO2.5 that would be AWESOME. I managed to sink 3 Battleships & a Aircraft Carrier. When I eventually got back to port I was delighted to have actually gotten my first COMH medal!!!!i have been playing this simulation for 3 years and never could achieve that medal until now. I like your mod a LOT!!!: Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:
