Half of the snow melted already. After a week it fell under a meter in 4 days.
And now half the country is flooded.

And a thanks to all the Yenks here. The US army donated 10 heavy duty generators to our civil defence. They'll be needed

I really think that our government needs to get on the phone to the Dutch, if there's anyone who knows how to handle water it's them.

I don't know about the rest of the East Coast, but in my neighbourhood it is guaranteed that we will get no snow.

Data points

1. Earlier this week, I pulled out my snow blower and found it dead. Weather forecast changes to heavy snow. Makes sense with my luck.

2. The last time I bought a snow blower, we did not have snow for the following three winters.

3. Last night, I purchased a new snow blower. After spending all that money, there is no way it will snow!

Coincidence?
Or just my usual bad luck?

I can influence the weather!

So can I. In 2012 I bought a new snow blower and it hasn't snowed a significant amount since then. $31,000.oo down the drain.

So what you are saying is....

I am not buying a snow blower.

Just started snowing here in northern Delaware. We're supposed to get up to 10"s where I am..... about a mile from the I-95 corridor that the weather guys are talking about.

And here's how I'll take care of that white stuff, as it's all ready to go.

I love em. They're the lug chains I bought back in 1992 and still have some life left in them. Only bad thing is that they're hard on the driveway..... especially cement. Not all that good for the blacktop driveways either.

Before I bought the 50" snowblower in '97 I had to push snow with the landscape blade. Without these chains and extra weight I couldn't have done it. Especially when the the driveway was ice covered under the snow. For 75.00 they were a very good investment, as were the Farmal A model front wheel weights.

I've got a set of skidder chains I had on my Farmall C. I'm gonna put them on my tractor for next winter along with the chains I have for my Jeep.
