Playable Ships

So I've just decided to switch over to SH5 because I've played and played SH4 and it's getting way to predicable.

I've come over to Silent Hunter 5 and I'm quite surprised that the modders have not yet released a playable ship for the game yet. I understand the game is totally different to SH4 but surely it can't be all that difficult to add a playable ship to game.

I know the problem is most likely the walking around part but that can be dealt with if you choose on the important areas of the ship to model or such, I'm sure the only areas you need are the Bridge, Admirals Bridge, Deck and part of the Super structure leading to each area.

Has there been any head way on this or isn't anybody trying?

We have many threads like this. The results can be found in this thread. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...light=Playable

There also is a search feature.

The problem with adding new playable units is that the game is unlikely to recognize a new playable unit, it would also require a large amount of work amd we don't have any interior models. (That I know of)

I have retired from Sh5 so this information might be outdated.
