Bloody clever of him actually. I think it is something that might get him some support. It's a political move definitely but quite astute. The Tories are quite worried about UKIP even if they deny it.

He may be nuts, but every now and again he does talk sense.

Still not enough for me to place my X anywhere near him though.

Godfrey Bloom, however . . .

Points mean prizes...not that I think that UKIP will get enough to become a third bloc, but they might get enough so that a Tory/UKIP alliance might occur in the next Hung Parliament. In which case I suggest that they rebrand themselves Norsefire.

Giving the Syrian refugees humanitarian aid is a no brainer, houses we don't have, welfare we can't afford, an NHS creaking at the seams, plus unemployment over 2 million, he's not only nuts, he's gone blind and deaf as well.

Welcome to the UK, the craziest country in a crazy world full of crazy politicians, we're all doomed.

The NHS isn't that bad, to be honest given the backlash against the governments attempts to push its own agenda on the NHS three years ago I am very suspicious of all these sudden reports coming out about NHS failings.
Smacks a little of an attempt to sway public opinion in favour of privatisation of the NHS through the back door.

What I find is of greatest concern is the fact UKIP may be the decicing outcome fo many a marginal seat.

Both main parties would be well advised to take these fools seriously because I've a sneaking suspicion Clegg and co may almost cease to exist come the next election.

Bottom line though...what a pee poor choice for the British electorate which ever way they vote next time round.

Yup, that's what worries me too. Clegg is a dead man walking, the only way the Lib Dems could hope to survive the next election would be to have Cable overthrow Clegg and start creating waves sometime in the next year. Can't see that happening though, the Lib Dems are banking everything on another Hung Parliament forcing the Tories and Labour to court them again, they don't want to upset the apple cart having had their first taste of power since their creation. However, with the rise of UKIP, this three party race may well become a four party one, and that puts all bets out of the window. Despite what I said earlier, I would be surprised if UKIP gathered enough seats to be seen by the Tories as a viable ally in creating a coalition government...but they might be a deciding factor if the Lib Dems don't gather enough votes to recreate the ConDem coalition, so it might end up being a ConDemUKIP coalition...which would probably have the lifespan of a snowball in a volcano.

I don't like UKIP, I consider them a one trick pony, an exploitation of media stirred xenophobia, and a sad reflection of the polarisation of this country between the new generation who don't really care about the colour of peoples skin because they're used to it, and the generation that grew up with Enoch Powell and his Rivers of Blood.

Between their xenophobia and the Conservatives gleefully lapping up the scare headlines about the 1st Jan Romania and Bulgaria 'mass invasion' from the newspapers, I worry about the future of this nation that was built on mass migration.

^ Agreed but isn't it a shame so much could be decided by a party who have yet to win a seat in Westminster and have only nine in the European Parliament allied to the worst attendance record.

Here today news, forgotten by tomorrow.

The business of politics is to lie cheat and grab as much power as they can and never serve the voters.
