What file allows me to adjust the time compression of my U-boat near land so that it is faster than X4. I downloaded the kiel canal but it takes forever to get through it at x4 doing 7 knots in a type II. Is there a way I can set all my waypoints throughout the canal and have my U-boat zoom through them all at X1024 or X2048 without my boat running aground?
Thanks in advance! |

What FILE though? I see the 'main.cfg' file in the data/config folder and I have tried to tweak that but it is not reading it from there. This is how mine currently reads.... [TIME COMPRESSION] TimeStop=0 RealTime=1 LandProximity=128 ; ISNT THIS THE ONE? WHY DO I ONLY GET X4 IN GAME? CriticalDamage=128 CrewEfficiency=128 AirEnemyDetected=1 SoundEffects=2 CharacterAnim=32 EnemyDetected=1 RadioReport=1 Particles=16 PrayState=64 HunterState=64 3DRender=1024 Maximum=1024 |

Hello,
Not sure about zoom, etc. but you can adjust acceleration for the narrow canals. There are -2- files to adjust, for increasing TC near land. There's a 'main.cfg' in your My Documents\Sh3 folder (folder where game-saves are), and another 'main.cfg' in your Sh3\Data\Cfg folder. Open both (notepad, etc.) and change "LandProximity=" to something higher. Both main.cfg files must be identical. I have it set to 64 (64x TC), as crew fatigue doesn't set-in at anything above 32x TC (with stock game settings at least). An example below, in both 'Main.cfg' files: [TIME COMPRESSION] TimeStop=0 RealTime=1 LandProximity=64 <-------- Default is 4x, adjust here; 32, 64, 128, etc. Just be a bit careful running near land at higher TC ![]()

![]() ![]() Is this what you mean. If you change here is it like changing in both cfgs? Documents and main sh3folder?
