Windows 8 Mod Help

Hello everybody,

For some reason I cannot get the mods to work on my game. I watched the tutorial in the beginner mod thread and I followed it as closely as I could, however, the guy in the video has an older version of windows and I have windows 8. I think this may be the problem. His interface and such is slightly different than mine and I can't find the same folders that he has. Can someone walk me through how to install the JSGME in Silent Hunter 5 on windows 8? Also, my version of the game is the steam version, if this information helps.
