An early victim of the storm predicted to hit the UK any time soon but the question I would ask is what is a fourteen year old doing swimming when such a weather forecast is announced

When I was 13 my best mate was washed over the railings at Scarborough during a school trip, it's only this last couple of years that I've even gone back there (I was on the same trip the week before!). I spent many years hoping that he'd been washed over to Holland and was living a new life and one day he'd just return - 'ta-dah'.
No such luck. ![]() That RNLI video is shocking, even if they'd spotted him it'd be horrendous to get him on board either the helo or lifeboat. ![]() Once more a warning to others who may think it's fun to do something stupid.

Helo lift would have been the only possible option in those conditions.
