Watch Officer Says Overcast, Foggy -- but I See Clear Skies

I have never seen this before....

I am cruising in foul weather: 10 m/s winds, heavy rain, overcast, limited visibility. Or, so says my watch officer.

But when I go on deck, it is a cloudless, day. Sun beaming. Yes, there is rain falling out of the clear blue sky, but I can clearly see the coast of Scotland 12 km away.

I can also see the coastal tanker 1200 m astern, but my watch crew doesn't (though they did when it was at 400m).

Has anyone seen this? Something must be messing around with the environment controls, but I cannot guess what.

I am running GWX 3.0... the only recently added mods are Longer Repair Times 2.04, Das Boot Clothes, Torpedo Damage Final ver2.0, and GWX - Rafael Disk GUI.

I know I can return to base and just start pulling mods until it clears up, but if anyone has a better idea about this, I would appreciate hearing it.

[EDIT: I have a coal tender at 9700m... which I can see clearly with the naked eye, even in these conditions.]

I have seen that rain out of clear skies too, but only for some hours, then the weather has always turned to what the weather man's description says it is. I've never happened to be in the vicinity of something that could be seen while that has happened. I have no idea what causes the anomaly and I think I haven't seen that for awhile now.

The problem did not disappear during patrol, so I hyperspaced back to port, exited, rebooted and started again... as soon as I encountered low visibility again, the same thing happened.

I uninstalled Rafaels GUI and it stopped, so there must have been a conflict. A pity, because I sort of liked that GUI.
