“Liking” something on Facebook is a form of speech protected by the First Amendment, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday, reviving a closely watched case over the extent to which the Constitution shields what we do online

Writing in this messagebox typing in this very message is no different then if i had taken a ink quill pen to a piece of parchment paper. Generally speaking, so long as I am not making making violent threats upon another person or their property, or otherwise infringing upon the constitutional rights of others, I should be able to exercise my freedom of speech however I see fit. Just sayin'.

The advantage of using parchment is that you can burn your letters and destroy any evidence. If I did not write it down then it did not happen.
Unlike using electronic media which you have no control over, and remains out there in the ether somewhere.
