How do you guys ID flags? Or do you just have to get lucky and get close enough? Makes for pretty horrible night hunting.
This where OLC Gold MKII Environment (3rd option for me) came in VERY handy. The observation scope is to die for in this mod. I won't say too much more as I have spent so much time raving about this mod, even I'm beginning to find it slightly creepy.
It really IS that good though and seeing most flags is no problem.

Another technique is to come in dead astern with decks awash with one eel ready. Fire (deck gun)at the stern at 1000 metres to reveal your position as you regain the bridge and the con scope to dive instantly if it opens up or not : if the spotlights come on or it turns to evade or fires, let fly!
