Hello all,
I am trying to find technical details about the sinking of INS Khukri by submarine PNS Hangor on Dec 1971. Beloved Wiki, and other internet sources, mentions very vague details. Anyone know about torpedoes used, how Hangor personnel made the FCS, distance to target, countermeasures on Khukri, etc? Regards and thanks!

May not be of much use but try these:

The torpedo was a French E15 55cm torpedo. The attack was at 5000 meters with a spread of three torpedoes. That's about all I know right now.

Thanks for the info!
However, a salvo of 3 early model passive homing torps, at just one target? Doctrine indicates a single shot, because the torpedoes became confused with other close noisy weapon in the water. In other hand, the "history" told that in the previous engagement the Indian destroyer (not an state of the art vessel) became aware of the torpedo, and evaded it. How? Regards!
