Default Dornier 17 restoration photos

I know Jamie will be interested but well worth a viewing and of interest to others I suspect:

Good to see the conservation work is starting to pay off on items like the props. Not entirely surprised that they might struggle to put her up the right way again, she's going to be in a very delicate condition even after the conservation work has finished. They would probably be better off designing the exhibit to show her position on the sea bed rather than in flying mode.

Thanks for posting, Jim!

EDIT: And a quick google search shows the 'bits that were lying around' to be a bomb rack.

It's bomb rack.
Line above it:
Trag 5 Schloß 50/X ("ß" pronounced "sss")
5 rounds 50Kg (let me see if I can find correct translation)
I believe the 50/X is specific to max load (50Kg) on each shackle.

Trag (abbreviation for Trager) = rack/carrier (thanks James D!!)
Schloß = Clasp, Padlock, Bolt, (and Castle, Chateau, Manor)

Shortened name could effectively mean
"Carrier for 5 Clasps (shackles) for 50 Kg loads"
Also, from the RAF Museums facebook page (which I did not know they had...time to go find it and add it) an internal shot showing the cockpit area looking back down the fuselage:

Reading down the replies - when will it fly again?

Not sure but there's a rumour that STEED is going to be the test pilot

It's about high time that you finally repair it! After all you were the ones to break it in the first place!
Once you're done with this one there are about 2200 more to go that you broke too!

In seriousness can this thing really be restored to a presentable state? I guess it would be easier to build one new from scratch.
