Default Waste disposal,,Wolfpacks

Hello I am new to this thread,
i was wondering that how would a submarine(WW2) get rid of garbage and human waste in the sea...
and
did us submarines in ww2 use the "wolfpack" tactic ??

Garbage:put in sacks, weighed them down, tossed over side every evening. Human waste, my understanding is they had a sanitary tank tha the enlisted toilet flowed to. which was blown into the sea when full or on a routine, think it was up to skipper. Also, I believe I read in the book Maru Killer(about USS Seahorse) that the officer's john just went directly into the sea.

Yes, starting in late 1943 US subs did us pack tactics, but never on the scale of German U Boats in the Atlantic.Usually, US packs were 3 boats operating in an area, one made contact would send out a contact report, they would try to coordinate the attack, let one attack and draw attention of escorts, then others would attack. This tactic became much more common in late 1944 until the end of the war.Like I said, it was never on the scale of ATO, usually 3 or 4 boats in a pack.I remember reading about 8 us boats coming in on a convoy in the east china sea in october 44, largest wolfpack in PTO I have read about.

Unfortunately SH 4 does but I am working on fixing that as much as possible within limitations of the game.

No, OM is a separate megamod. Get it from the SubSim SH4 pages (2 downloads) Also download OMEGU (Operation Monsun Environmental and GUI Upgrade - 3 downloads), which adds a lot of atmosphere to OM.

AFAIK, there is unfortunately no way to add wolfpacks (German or US) to SH4. Could probably be done in a mod, like NYGM does it. But no one has done it.

SH4 has maybe a fifth of the mod development (OM and US PTO) that SH3 has.

That would take for days. Read the readme in the TMO documents folder and check out the beginning of the TMO mod thread.

Simply put, TMO fixes a lot of the problems of the stock game, adds more, and more rational, Japanese merchant traffic, and makes the IJN ASW AI much tougher. At least, that's what a lot of posters here say.

What's the problem with default IJN ASW tactics they still seem to find when I'm trying to crack open a convoy or infiltrating a naval base :P

Didn't say there was a problem. Just said that TMO aims to make IJN ASW performance tougher, which, AFAIK, is what Ducimus, the creator of TMO, said he was trying to do.
