Well I came back after a couple of years and tried to setup a nice lightly modded SH5. I used TDW's generic patcher, and I added few mods including Open Horizon II.
After installing all this on a 1.20 version, I started the game and Uplay suddenly forgot who I was, so I cancelled and tried again. Only now it doesn't even bring up Uplay, it comes up with this...



I replaced sh5.exe with a backed up copy and de-activated all mods to no avail.
I thought about running the 1.2 update, but I can't find it on this site. Otherwise, a re-install??

yep, after that much time with issues its best to just begin with a fresh new install and don't use any old mods, make sure they are all fresh newly downloaded mods so they work with the updated game

Yup, thanx Webster. That's what I finally did. Un-installed, re-installed, updated, rebooted, ran the game, loaded mods, rebooted again.
I was able to get it all going and even made Uplay happy, so I'm good to go.
