Default problem in career

OK, basic question. After a patrol, when in your home port, how do you finish patrols? I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

ESC> Exit Patrol. A new screen will pop up and in the lower right corner is: Dock at XXXX. Click on that.

Press escape, exit patrol and dock in the port you're at. You need to be within about 13? miles I think.

edit: bah, too slow

I read somewhere you get extra (100) reknown for returning to base, is this dependant on you being about 13km's within (Your starting bases) its radius and then docking? Because I generally exit my patrol once I've run out of ammo, usually several thousand km's away from my base.

I tried that, and it said I never finished the patrol, but OK.

Yes, Dallass, that is correct. When you get to within about 10 Km of a port, the option to "Dock at: XXXX" will replace the "Return to base" option. If you dock at the port your orders say to end your patrol at, you earn a little bonus renown. I say dock where your orders say to because if you play through the campaign in a Flotilla that moves, you'll eventually get a mission to leave A and dock at B.

Another question about ports. Can you pull into another port during a patrol and restock supplies (torps)?

Thanks

Yes, but....

it counts as ending the patrol. Your next mission will be to return to your home port, so don't bother doing this. Run till you're out of torps, then return home.
