Can Not Uninstall!

A spawn of another post.

I get an error message on attempts tp uninstall so that I can reinstall the game.

Can anyone help me? IDS_Deleting_Files_Status_Text error message!

Well I've tried installing it again under the modify selection andafter it install I'm going to try to uninstall it. I'm going to go out on a limb and say its not going to work.

Has anyone ever had this much trouble trying to uninstall this game before, is it StarForce? What is going on!

Well, I was right, I just finished the install went to uninstall it and boom the same damn error message!

I want to know why I can't uninstall and I want to know NOW!

Maybe itÂ´s an Installshield problem, try and reinstall it:

I had the same problem until I cleaned my regestry with Registry mechanic, and uninstalled the starforce drivers

Delete the SH3 folder manually, then start up 'Run' [start - run] and type in regedit and hit OK. Look for Ubisoft under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE when you find it click on the + sign and you should see Silent Hunter 3 name. Delete that folder.

Silent Hunter 3 uninstalled.

I finally got it to work using Kiwi's idea, thanks pal.

Man that was a ton of work.....Oh well just reinstalled it and everything works fine, I have all the correct flottillas 1st 2nd 7th.

I'm a happy camper now
