Default TDC Mod!

Hi!

This is the TDC Mod!

With this Mod u will become all the relevant Instruments for the manual torpedoshooting, into your Attack Peri & UZO! Also u can update your F6 TDC Map, if u want to.

This Mod was made for all those who want to fire their torpedos directly in the A.Peri & UZO! So, if u don`t really need those Instruments, then don`t install this Mod!

There are rare individuall settings possible, which are listed at the end of this file.

This Mod was a very hard part of work (making Textures, making edits without an end and a lot of testing, testing and testing...) to get it to run, so i hope u can enjoy it and it will make your game more better/easier!

So, please don`t irritate about the complexe installation at first look!
(Who take a look at her, will see very fast that she is comfortable and that only those lot menu_1024.768.ini blocks are looking strange to built them in at the first look....but they are easy because no much changings there for you!

I made this Mod because the Original Dials and instruments for Manual Torpshooting are too small and ugly. Also i wanted a long time to be able to shoot them directly in the UZO&Peri!

____________________________________

!!! ATTENTION !!!

1. This Mod is ONLY for those who are using the Slideoutconsole!!! Because the enlarged Instruments are not useable with the Original Console! (Only if u lock them out with the DEL Key on your Num Pad....)

2. Who is not sure if he needs this Mod, or who don`t know what this Mod is for, those should NOT install this Mod!!!

3. The necessary Menu_1024_768.ini- & Dials.cfg Edits MUST be installed 100% correctly, so PLEASE follow the this Installguide concentrated and step by step! Or it could happen that u get Errors/ CTDs or another Problems.

4. When u installed this Mod, then PLEASE check your installation a second time, to make sure that u don`t have left any Letter, Symbol or Texts!

5. For the Navimapmod User (Flaggen.tga for Peri & UZO, where u have the TGA with the Nationalitys) are at the end of this File, the new Edits u must take! So, u just install all this new Blocks and at the End of installation u reset the ,,new last Block" in the responsible Flaggen.tga Block!

_____________________________________

Note:

I know that the installation isn`t easy, but u do it only once! So please follow this guide step by step!
So please read this guide carefully and make the edits concentrated to make no misstakes!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------

Known Problems:

- U have still to go to the F6 TDC Map to set there if u want to shoot
manually or automatically! But u can edit a command for that, to change it with a key if u want. It is comfortable.

For this u open ur commands_en (data/Cfg Folder) and set a key for TDC autoupdate:

[Cmd131]
Name=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Ctxt=1

for Example u with SHIFT+T:

[Cmd131]
Name=Toggle_TDC_autoupdate
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x54,s,"T"

- The toggle function for the Glasses (light/dark when toggling TDC update like in TDC Map) will not work in the UZO & Peri! In the TDC Map it works normal.

- I have deactivated (Dials.cfg Edits) the clicking sound for the Bearing and Angle on Bow Instruments, because it will click the whole time if u move the Peri or UZO.

- The numbers in the Torpedosalve (Choosing the tubes) are not working with changing them (I, II, VI aso.), like in the TDC Map, so i just wrote them on the Texture.

- A small part of the Bearing Instrument, will be not overlayed of the
Redlight in the Peri! Because it is in the viewing circle of it.

That`s all. No dramatic things....but i must do compromisses....

================================================== =========================

INSTALLATION:

The Installation is stepwise! That means that u install whatever u like!

There are 3 steps for Installation:

- >>For the Attack Peri<<
- >>For the UZO<<
- >>For the F6 TDC Map<<

Be sure what u wanna have installed before u beginn with the editing!
For Example: U want only the A. Peri, then install just that. Or u wanna have only the Peri & UZO without changing the F6 Map, then just install that, whatever u like.

So, that is your individual decision! So please cheack the whole Readme to know what u want and to know how much Diails u insert into the Dials.cfg...(for the complete mod u have to make 28 ,,new Dials" into the Dials.cfg)

Ok, now in Pictures:

This mod contains following Addons/Changes:

How u can see u have down right the normal Torpedosettings (Torpspeed, Torppistol, Torpsalve or not, Torpdepth) permanently visible. If u wanna fire a salve, then u set it there and then go to the top of the Notepad up right. Then there will be a slideoutconsole where u can choose the Tubes and spreadangle....

All other manual Torpsettings like Bearing, Angle on Bow and so on, will slideout from left to right. (Or u set them so that they will be permanently visible)

Here are all Instruments in sight....

Now it should be very nice to make a ,,Überwasserschuss"....

And last but not least, the updated TDC Map if u want to have....

I wish u a lot of fun with this Mod!

Best wishes FLB Sale U-999

Best thing to happen to my periscopes, ever

I especially love how it actually make sense to use the Attack scope now instead of the observation one for making attacks.

At this rate, I might even learn how to use my TDC :hmm:

I cant understand well this red portion, may be because i dont know Slideoutconsole Mod and how it works.......

Do it means ...even with the Slideoutconsle Mod, we need to fix or lock out the task bars ?

3]

The mod dont use the original periscope background texture, but it is not included into the download...... can it be used over any periscope background texture ?

Thanks in advance ! Wonderful Job !

I actually use it without the slideout console - I made the gauges stay on all the time by using the trick mentioned towards the end of the readme. As long as you hit "Numpad ." to get rid of the instrument panel, you can see all the gauges just fine when setting up for attack.
