Default TMO and RFB

I like TMO but i would like to change the color (on top of the water) looking down at it or at a angle, seems like its painted blue, no depth. If I add TMO and RFB together, will i get a better color of the ocean? I am not a modder but can switch files around, and see if it is a better looking ocean. Any ideals. Maybe PE4?... thanks guys Indy

TMO and RFB DON'T MIX! IIRC, each has environment tweaks that affect sighting ranges, sound propagation, and other issues, so I have heard it said that even using environment mods which are "compatible" can give strange results. (Like, you can't see the DD that is shelling you!) That said, I find I have to use Improved Stoc kEnvironment (v3 for RFB & TMO) with RFB to make it tolerable. It looks good - to me - I haven't had any funnies. So far....

One of the reasons I don't play TMO is that I can't handle the painted ocean. (There are others, all having to do with the game atmospherics. With apologies to Arletty, atmosphere does matter.) You might try ISM too.

But mixing files from TMO and RFB might be a bad idea.

Good luck and Godspeed!

as mentioned both those mods have been tweaked for sensors and the AI to only work properly as they are so if you alter the environment then you will change how the sensors and AI function in the game. it may or may not be an issue or all that noticable but things will not be working correctly and there is no telling how other mods combined with it will also be effected by it.

if anything i wouldnt use RFB to alter TMO environment, if anything you should try using "real environment" or "ISE" environmental mods to fix the environment.

as for PE4 i think they each mod chose to use one of the environmental mods at the time they first came out so one of them chose to use PE4 and the other used ENV 5.0 but i cant remember which is which so read the details

Personally i found it exceedingly hard to replicate what i saw in real life within the parameters of the game.
