Is there a SH5 Gold?
If I want to get into 5 what is the best version to buy?

Only one version. Try to NOT get the steam version if possible. Without steam version, you can use TDW's patcher which is a mod.

There is an SH5 Gold. It contains the extra ships that you could originally unlock playing SH5. I'm told it's not worth the money. Get regular SH5 and have fun with it.
