More info would be useful.

In the mean time, nVidia Inspector—or the equivalent. And paw through this thread.

Have you loaded one of the Env. mods?

Grainy? Do you have the post process filtering checked in the graphics option?

There was a mod called "Remove Grainy Effect". I use it, as well as the Post Processing filter feature. This allows the filter to be used, without that grainy look.

Here's the link from the D/L section: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1049

My history on HDMI and a 42 incher

I‘m not sure, but you are going into a 1097ip or something like that? So you need one of the top of the line graphics today.
I was running SH 4 off my Aspire 5536-5224 and it rated the game at 4.0 but my card can only do a 3.1, with is fine for me because I just close some things down before I run. Frame rate is a little slow, but what the hell, so am I. Now, I did the HDMI thing on a 42” Samsung (2009) and it worked just fine. But you can’t play the G-kids in the house so that lasted about 3 hours. Now, if I’m right this laptop with runs a 3500 ATI Radeon, so if you are running anything better, which is a lot, I don’t see any problems? O’ yes I kept all my driver up to-date too. O' yes with Vista.
