Quick question for people in "the know".
Does SHIII update the radio contacts? It has happened to me on a couple of ocasions that I get a report of a new sound contact and about three hours later I get another report of a very similar contact somewhat close to where I think the original contact should be by now. I have observed several times that you can receive multiple radio contacts (of different ships) at the same time, but the fact that these "new" contacts crop up so near to the estimated current location of the previous contact makes me wonder... Is it the same one, or is it another one? |

Are you talking about radio contacts or sound contacts?
Radio contacts are occasionaly updated. Sound contacts can be set to updat, but when in normal sweep mode the sound AI occasionaly loses the contact briefly and then finds it again, reporting the refind as a new contact.

Radio contacts. The ones that ocationaly pop up on the nav map, simulating information received from BdU.

when a ship/convoy is a certain distance away form you it has a chance of haveing its position radioed in. After it is radioed in it still has a chance of being radioed in again at any given time it is still within the certain distance from you.
