Default Problems with Magnus Opus mod, anyone help?

Hey guys

Been playing with Magnus opus mega mod for a few days now and I have a couple problems I need fixing.

1. The oil slicks often get stuck standing on end for me, I don't think they add anything to the game when laying flat so is there a way I can remove them?

2. The sea green color in (as far as I have seen) the entire ocean regardless of weather looks wretched on my screen, although it may not be realistic I would like to have the original blue back without losing any weather mods and such added by the megamod. I have tried removing/editing a few files I thought might do it to no avail but I would really like to get this removed because it looks horrible on my screen and nowhere near realistic.

Pic to show

Fantastic mod otherwise.

You won't get much support on this mod anymore: it is greatly outdated. Try instead MyMegaMod by pedrobras or, even better, sobers megamod

Though more recent than MO, MMM is getting outdated as well, and it is not longer supported by its author.

Try at least to refresh it with the latest UI and OHII versions

I can't even get it downloaded because the links provided are broken or require a premium account.

Is there any way to just mass download all of the mods for sober's list?

no, several of the mods contained in sober's list are often updated, and an all-in-one megapack would get outdated quite quickly. By downloading separately each of its mods, you can always update your mod list with the most recent versions, or even customize it according to your taste and needs

Two suggestions to speed up the downloads:
- many mods got uploaded on more than one file storage server. Use google to look for alternative links.
- if you exceed your daily allowed limit on subsim, and you just can't wait/find an alternative link, make a donation for increasing the limit.

On a side note, MMM have been recently reuploaded. Just look the last posts of the thread I've pointed out

"Public traffic exhausted"

Can't download more than 1 file from rapidshare per 15-30 minutes anyways.

I downloaded almost all of the mods in sobers list, I couldn't download the last four or so because of the daily download limit but I tried enabling the mods anyways and half of them don't work, can't get any of these mega mods to work right. What a nightmare all of this is.

I followed them and installed them in the exact order he indicated. I couldn't use his mod profile because I have to wait another 24 hours just to download the last four files so I just enabled them one by one by myself how his list said to do it. None of the Darkwraith TDC stuff is working, the crew mod that lists all your crew on the bottom of the screen with all the commands, that's gone, none of the extra UI stuff such as the knots by meters conversion chart is available, nor is the radio messages button or anything else that should be there for that matter. The graphical stuff for the ocean appears to be working but the game runs like complete garbage even outside of the bunker, shocking considering I'm running a gtx680...

I wish I knew how to get this stuff to be compatible myself, most of these megamods contain some mod that I don't even want, such as forced real navigation in sober's.

Have you enabled the correct mod folder? Picking the wrong folder is one of the most common mistakes done by newcomers when trying to istall TDW's UI. Make sure you've followed the below steps:

1. Open the NewUIs_TDC_7_*_0_TheDarkWraith.7z file using winrar or 7-zip. It contains a NewUIs_TDC_7_*_0_TheDarkWraith (root) folder...
2. open it, and you will see it contains on turn 3 subfolder: Dials, MODS and Text...
3. open the MODS subfolder. Again, it contains several subfolders...
4. the main mod is contained in a folder named NewUIs_TDC_7_*_0_TheDarkWraith (yes, same name as before, but different folder). Drop it into the MODS folder (the one conained in SH5 main folder) and enable it with JSGME

You can simply ignore the mods you dislike. This is the beauty of sobers megamod

Yeah I got the right folder as you described. I don't know, I may have activated it wrong or something. I'll spend some time and try again minus all the stuff I don't want.

I'm not sure what causes the huge performance drop though :\

if you just looking in harbor (especially Keil), its normal. Especially if you are using Open Horizons II Full - it adds a lot of extra ships.

I was in Keil, it was continuing even a ways out following the canal leading to the west from Keil but I may not have gotten far enough away.
