2 gtx 670 4gb's spanning 3 28" monitors. Game starts up and load but all I get is a black screen with a sinlge icon in the top right of some kind of notification ship in shallow waters, and the mouse cursor. If I press F1 the keyboard commands come up, escape the menu, but the F2 and F4 don't produce anyting excep a black screen with that icon.
Not running any mods. Anyone have a solution for this? windows 7 64 bit. I've already set antialiasing to 2x in nvidia control panel, tried manually installing directx, and vcredistributable files. Restarted, ran in compatability mode windows xp sp3, ran as administrator. Last edited by rss0900; 12-15-12 at 02:02 AM. |

goto - Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features look for - Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable 9.0.30729.4974 if you have it - delete it ************************************************** *********************************************** also the game should run with windows 7 , dual cards might be a settings issue somewhere though . antialiasing in nvidia control panel has to be set to application controlled . |

Grrrrr I can't figure out how to change the aspect ratio or field of view. AT 3072x768x75 the screen menus don't show up correctly and everything is distorted. Anyone with a suggestion on this?

I don't think you'll be able to stretch it over 3 screens like that easily. There is really nothing to stretch that much. Try one screen.

It does work on one screen but I've also seen posts where people are saying it's working on 3 in the right aspect ratio. But I can't find any that tell me how they did it. After using triple screens it breaks my heart to only use one now - but yes it works on one ![]() |

I've got it set to 3072, 768, 75, 22 I have no idea what the 22 means. Is change the aspect ration simply a matter of changing the resolution (first two numbers?)

Unable to find any solution to this. I can run a resolution of 2100x768 which puts it on just 2 screens and everything looks fine but after that the screens just go black again, can hear sounds see the point and the keyboard commands (f1). I'm out of ideas so if anyone is running triple screen in surround gaming (nvidia) please tell me how you did it. Thanks

I run 3 x 20" monitors in SH5, with ATI/AMD and Eyefinity.
Firstly, there is some absolute critical bug in SH5 that means the game hangs as soon as you go into 1st person mode - e.g. you watch the cut-scene opening movie and at the end of that the screen just goes black although you can still hear the sounds. There is *no* workaround I know of that fixes this at the given resolution - you have to configure a different resolution to get the game to work. I'm running SH5 full-screen on 3 screens though so you can get there eventually if you make compromises. From memory I did a couple of things to get SH5 up-and-running. (1) is I'm running the 3 monitors rotated into PORTRAIT mode, so each 20" monitor is 1200x1600 and I'm running a total of 3600x1600. So the aspect ratio is nowhere near as extreme (2) I *might* have turned the resolution to less than that for SH5 - I'm not certain of this - I'll check what resolution I'm actually running and update this post. There are setup clues here: http://www.wsgf.org/dr/silent-hunter-v-battle-atlantic Also... there's a "d3d antilag" mod that was needed for my graphics not to stutter - that worked like a charm though. **Edit** I am running SH5 at 3600x1200, 60Hz, no videosync, and the game 'Options' video menu also mentions 9:4 (i.e. my video setting is labelled something like "3600x1600, 60Hz, 9:4") and I would think the 9:4 is some aspect ratio setting. Game works fine. I think it is the extreme ASPECT RATIO of 3 widescreen monitors that causes SH5 to die - even 3 x 4:3 monitors (ie my 20" 1600x1200 Dells) is too wide for SH5.
