Default Noob mods question

I'm playing SH3+GWX3 now, and wonder if I should buy SH5 (after all the negative reviews). All the eye-candy looks cool, but it looks like SH5 needs some mods to be as realistic and playable as SH3/GWX. Don't want to install a ton of tiny mods, so here's a question: is there something like GWX for SH5 -- a single global mod squashing the release bugs and adding realism/usability?

No, there isn't. The closest you can get is MMM, which is already slightly outdated.

Also, if you want the major bugs fixed, you'll need to install TDW's .exe patcher (reason you SHOULD NOT buy SH5 from steam).

On another hand - SH5 is amazing I enjoy it emmensley.. When I have time..

Can you be more specific about mentioned mods? Links would be great, cause I have some difficulties finding them.
A lot of reviews mentioned SH5 is buggy and feels a lot more 'arcade' than SH3, so I'm looking for ways to make it less so.
You said SH5 is 'amazing' -- amazing in what way? How SH5 is better than SH3?

UPD
Doesn't matter anymore, bought SH5 already and choosing mods now.
