Default Australian Broadcasting Corporation....WTF?

I Know the gov's pushing for a surplus 'n' all, but seriously?

What, the ABC's journo's are that understaffed/tired/broke (or is it lazy?) that the readers have to provide their own photo's now?

Unbelievable

BBC's been doing that for a while now, a way of getting eye-witness videos and the like. With a situation like that, unless there's a fore-warning that the roof was going to cave in, it's not likely that ABC would have camera men or reporters in the area, however a local resident could have spotted it giving way and got their phone out and recorded it.

It's the era of the camera phone, everyone is a camera man now.
