Default Lets meet windows 8 gentlemen!

Say hello to your next OS (probably)

The windows 8 sisters have finally been introduced!

The one on the left is Yuu Madobe and her sister is Ai Madobe.

Wait, what the hell is this? Well the idea is, in japan, people personify their computers and operating systems. These girls "are" the personality of your computer, like Apple's siri I guess.

Well, we have to send Windows 7, their sister into retirement:

Maybe its time to switch to Linux?
I feel more comfortable when its Tux the penguin observing me when I "pat the ferret" so to speak.

Anyway, that's enough of being downbeat.

I guess pedos need an OS, too...

Personality of a computer my ass, what kind of personality do 12 year old girls have anyways? Does W8 scream when you play a Justin Biever vid or orders a bunch of ponies while you're online?

Hey, when you use a black box for 8hours + a day, you tend to personify it too. And yes, of you use the windows 7 os-tan theme, you get to hear her voice all day.

Mind you, this is hugely popular in Japan. People love it, and before Microsoft themselves did it, there were some weird fan made ones.

PS the fan made windows vista os-tan gives me the weirdest boner: http://ostan-collections.net/wiki/File:Chivistan.jpg

I'll stick to the OS that nicely shuts the F up....can't stand things that make sounds when you're not calling for it...starting with that god damn paperclip *tick tick tick*

^this + 1, If ever feel the need to talk to a machine thats incapable of independant thought, I'll seek psychiatric help.
When I can say "computer, fire up 3ds max and make me Lancaster bomber' then maybe Ill consider it. Until then - no thanks.
Going back to Windows 8, its designed for tablets, no tablet - no want.

Same, if a company can't take it's PC userbase serious by pumping out a half arsed tablet designed OS not optimized for PC well then I'm not taking them serious doing the wise thing skip & see what they'll come up with next and hope that they've come back to their senses and bring out a proper OS.
