Si means yes.
Senor is how you say sir. And Muerto means dead. Cliff notes rule. Maricon means uhh, something I would get yelled at about.

Maybe we can refrain from the use of prohibited terms in any language. Maybe? Just maybe?
Thanks in advance. ![]() |

It should be "Sí señor. Texas es amigo muerto"
A Mexican would not use the word that soopaman used for the bad English word either. He would use a word that starts with "P" and ends with an "O" Just because someone speaks Spanish or has Mexican heritage it does not mean that they are a supporter of illegal immigration or of not speaking English.During the Mexican American War many Mexicans preferred to be under American authority so they gladly stayed in Texas and their kin still are there today. Él ha estado aprendiendo español desde un puertorriqueño. He has been learning Spanish from a Puerto Rican. Last edited by Stealhead; 09-27-12 at 06:53 PM. |

I am around more Puerto Ricans than Mexicans. They also use the p word you refer to, though it is a much "lighter" word. Plus I am too lazy to figure out the unicode for the ~n so I just winged it.
Thanks for the Spanish lesson. ![]() Something tells me it will come in handy soon. And they prefer to be called boriquas!

Here in Florida we have people from every Latin American country which would make learning Spanish seem like a good idea but you have to be careful because there is much variation in dialect. Puerto Ricans speak most rapidly and Mexicans speak with a much slower pace Cubans are in the middle. The other thing is a common acceptable word in one dialect is a very foul word in another. ![]() So a Puerto Rican could speak of bread to a Mexican he would have said a reproductive organ or slang in Mexican for one anyway.Of course the thing is they can tell by the pace your dialect and that they should use proper words and not slang words in that situation. If you learn from a Latin American learn from a person from Argentina they speak the best Spanish better than even Spaniards. Now the funny thing to me was the Puerto Rican Air National Guard (though some New York and Jersey Army National Guard units are mostly Puerto Rican) they loved to speak in Spanish just to get under the skin of the more redneck airmen even the ones that where white boys that just lived in Puerto Rico.Wehn the guys stormed of they would laugh and say "Later dude!" ![]() |
