Thanks a bunch, Kloef! I just wasted several minutes of my life (well, not exactly wasted, but time I could have spent [well, not could have, but should have] doing other, more important [well, not more important, but stuff I should be doing]) looking at those pictures.

Now, unsure of the relative importance of what I've just done, I have to (well, not have to, but you start to get the picture...) go back and look at them all again.

I hate you (well, not hate...in fact I kind of appreciate your care in wanting us to be educated to the wonders of the traditions of other countries)!

Well. One of these glasses (we call them Masskrug) has a weight of 1.3 kg or 2.8660099000000003 lb each and empty.

The content (we call it beer) should be 1.0 ltr or 1.0 kg or 2.204623 lb each.

That lovely little girl in Vendor's photo is carrying 12 of those glasses (Masskrüge), that would be something like:

12 x 1.3 kg = 15.6 kg for the glasses
12 x 1.0 kg = 12.0 kg for the beer

That would make 27.6 kg or 60.84759480000001 lb what the girl is actually carrying.

12 hours a day...

Edit: They all do that

and, when interviewed, they tell you they make up to 5.000$ during the Oktoberfest.

It's easy to learn...

I think they would pay you to stay away, you would be as welcome as Kohler and probably be shouting that the Bavarians are savages and their silly music means they are not really proper germans and they had better all look under the table as thats where muslims might be hiding.

We used to have a Beer Keller in Newcastle and I've had mixed memories..................

Many a great time dancing on tables drinking litre steins of German beer and many a serious time locking up drunks at the ene of the evening
