Default Manual targeting with stern tubes

Dumb question.....but:

Do I need to make any corrections to the targets AOB if I usong the stern tubes? For example, my course is 000, the targets' bearing is 045R with a AOB of 045. A nice setup for my forward tubes...But if I were facing 180 degrees the bearing would change to 225R. How would this affect AOB?

Am I just confusing myself?

Thank you.

I'm no expert, but I don't think AOB should be affected. AOB specifies target course, so it should remain the same. TDC knows you are setting up for stern tubes when you select a stern tube, then figures everything from there.

Just to be sure, maybe do a test in a training mission. See how it all works.

Only you're bearing has changed, not his course which would effect AOB.
