Default Just got SH5 off of Steam - Your preference for mods?

I was hoping it would go on sale for cheaper than $13, but alas it was not to be. Anyway, I have played the crap out of SH3 with the Grey Wolves mod and had read a few threads saying that SH5 can be pretty good with mods too.

My question is are there any mod packs similar to The Grey Wolves mod pack for a similar experience? Or can anybody share a collection of mods especially their favorite mods that I should get?

Thanks!

From Steam you said? Bad move man, and this is the reason:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...39&postcount=1

its readme states:
"For non-Steam versions of the SH5.exe"

for 5 USD + postal fees you could have bought the DVD version of the game

Didn't realize that it would be a problem. Steam is the actually my preferred way to purchase games these days, so that's why I bought it there. I have hundreds of games on there and it's never been a problem for me even with other heavily modded games like Skyrim, Fallout 3 & NV, etc. Well that sucks if functionality will be blocked. I wonder if there is a work around.

I went ahead and put in a ticket for a refund, though I know Steam is VERY tight when it comes to refunds. Hopefully I can at least get a credit. I only purchased it a few minutes ago and haven't downloaded it.

I am afraid that the only possible workaround will be buying the DVD version of the game.

Several subsim members asked TDW to support the Steam exe, but it seems that this is not going to happen:

But about those mods, is there an all inclusive one like The Grey Wolves?

Not exactly like They Grey Wolves, but you can try with one of these:

Magnum Opus

MyMegaMod

Noone of them is currently updated, but they are a good option to start with. Alternatevely you can have a look at this thread by sober (an up to date list of mods with their download links):

sobers mega mod

Finally, I suggest you to have a look as well at this guide by Trevally:

SH5 Mod Guide for Beginners

I think you can still get a DVD copy for about half that price...
