@Jon, Yeah, I'm not afraid of letting the world know I've found The One. She puts up with my video games and nerd-isms, and even one night when I was having trouble sleeping she asked out of desperation if it would be better if I turned Silent Hunter on to listen to the engines

Nothing to prepare for, it's a unique situation for anybody, a new chapter in life, everyone has some shaking knees before it.
In the history of marriage, everything that could go wrong at weddings, went wrong. So what? What should stop the both of you from tieing the knot? Forgotten rings, a blackout, an alien invasion? No need to be overly nervous, as long as you are sure about your mutual love. This is what matters, everything else is only secondary.
