My career is officially over.
Karl-Heinz Broda, the second commander of my U-96 surrendered at sea under heavy attack in the port of Blyth. The boat had heavy flooding and the engines were destroyed. No men were injured. Karl-Heinz had no chance. The first commander, was reassigned to training duties in 1940. My U-96 did not make it far. Karl-Heinz Broda surrendered in July of 41. Not bad for my first U-boat in GWX3. First one was reassigned and the second one (chief engineer from the first commander) surrendered a year later. Now, to start a type II career.

I think when you get right down to it the Ducks are my favorite as well.
