You had the answer right in front of you.

Unselect the little hand icon (thats like "move the map around mode")
Select the PQ41 convoy entry.
Right click and select group properties. It will tell you when it enters the war, when it exit's, how often it has a chance to spawn, and chance to get a contract report on it if it has spawned.

What program did you use to look in the Random RND.mis file?

My assumption was he was using the mission builder that is installed along with SH3. Just FYI theres the LND layer (bases), SCR layer (scripted layer, harbor traffic or historical events), and the RND layer (random layer, your convoys and shipping are in this file)

however, *.mis files are note/wordpad friendly. If im just making a quick adjustment, ill use wordpad and the find functioin.

Thanks fro the reply Ducimus. If I want to make a quick adjustment to anything I usually use a program called CONTEXT. It basically works the same as wordpad.

For anyone interested in the most doomed convoy on the most unforgiven route: PQ 17 -> you can download a nice book on this subject here for free:

http://www.fpp.co.uk/books/PQ17/index.html

Although not primarily victimized by subs it gives you a good idea of the ordeals encountered by sailing in a convoy....
