Im talking about this all the time, lol.
But i really in need to see proper sinking mechanics,sinking..mechanics. This is sim about sinking merchants mostly so proper mechanics are crucial, but all i see in this forum is OMGZ EYECANDYYY and circlejerks around this topic. Anybody interested to make sinking more natural and substancial or maybe SH3 engine don't allow it? On Sh4 mod workshop there is Longer Sinking Times by Blidge_Rat and it's cool the best so far imo of course, maybe somebody port this to Sh3? Blidge_Rat? I like to do it my self, but i know nothing about modding and my work will be not so satysfying im afraid. cheerrrs |

I think NYGM has the best sinking ships feel IMO.Give it a try and see what you feel.

There have actually been several mods released over the years to improve sinking and other behaviors for ships in SH3.
The two most recent and most extensive that come to mind are Thomsen's Ships and the TMT mods. Aside from correcting sinking, they also alter speed and maneuverability in an attempt to correct the cheetah-like acceleration and ability to nearly turn and stop on a dime. Porting the SH4 mod may not be so simple, but you can use S3D to play with various parameters like buoyancy and flooding times to make your own mod. Best way to learn is by doing it yourself.
