SH3 with SH3 Commander issue ?

here is the problem i'm having:

I tried it already in 3 campaigns and still persists, my captain don't ever get promoted. I know it's a very minor thing but tbh it annoys me. Everything else works perfectly except for this. No matter how good i do in a patrol/campaign my captain always remains a Lt Jr.

Can someone please help me resolve this ?
Any idea what might be causing this ?

Captains promotion is based on renoun earned. If you buy upgrades using renoun, it takes longer to earn a promotion.

Thanks for your response, but i do know what you said (spending renown lowers etc).

The fact is that even in a campaign that i had 25 patrols and lots and lots of renown (even after spending some for all the upgrades) I never received a promotion.

Here is a copy of the parameters for promotion and medals from my GWX 3.0 basic.cfg file for comparison.

RankLevel2=7999; SCORE
RankLevel3=14999; SCORE

MedalScore2=15000; knight, SCORE
MedalScore3=25000; oak leaves, SCORE

MedalScore5=50000;diamonds, SCORE
MedalScore6=80000;all, SCORE

You didn't say if you are using GWX 3.0 with SH3 commander but, if you are, there is a file needed for SH3 Commander to make them work properly together. It is named GWX3_CFG_for_SH3Commanders.
