HELP! Activating Mods causing Ctd

This is making me ill.

Everything was perfect.

I had introduced the 'Slower Walking' mod and JSGME warned of a conflict with 'Manos Scopes' because of the camera.(dat?)file.
Anyway, it worked though, until one time I boot up and the avatar is stuck in run. Shift key is not doing anything at all. Even deactivating the 'slower walking' mod didn't do anything, so I re-installed the game. Bad Decision, for some reason, when I now activate the mods the game CTD's right before the game scene should appear. If I deactivate the mods, I get into the saved game but of course it's terrible.
It will not let me start a new career as the same happens, if the mods are activated...CRASH. I suppose I could play the tutorial but what's the point. This is the basic mods list as I had it:

I erased everything I could. I even erased all the game folders after the uninstall (of course, the save games are placed right back in there by the DRM).
My friends, what should I do at this point?? This is my favorite game. Is this a corrupted mod file, or corrupted game files...?? I've never had a problem this bad that I couldn't resolve with a clean install.

After re-install have you patch the game to 1.2 ?

Yes, Thanks. I saw it auto load from the Ubisoft DRM(?)
Anyway, Yes 1.2
I am currently putting together a new mods folder with all "new" fresh Mods. Just in case any of the mods have been corrupted, which I suspect is what has happened.

Edit: after checking, Iseems that the autoload from the ubisoft site during installation is not 1.2. I went and got the patch online and manually put it in.
