Default Ghost Recon Classic: Revive the good ´ol times?

Hey Guys!
I asked a friend, a GR veteran like me, if he would like to play OGR again, since the new titles are anything but "Ghost Recon". We miss the good old times of developing tactics, sneaking in position and striking the bad guys.

I could imagine there are others like us, so, who would be interested in a few nice GR games? Maybe this or next weekend, so we dont get problems because of the time zones.

So, any real Ghosts still out there?

Note: We would play with GR, DS and IT, fully patched.

Might consider joining. Not promising anything yet, though.

Got a good taste of the original campaign with a friend yesterday. Nostalgia!

If I can find the DVD I bought ages ago, I'd be up. Although I never actually played it before.

I'm in a similar position to Spike, got it but hardly ever played it. Pretty much the same as Rainbow Six.

I tell you, don't start a family - really cramps game time!

If my wife's reading this - nothing personal, and happy birthday.

I have plenty of experience with the original Rainbow Six, and Rainbow Six 3. I love both of those games.

I started up the tutorial, realized I had played it before, and then realized it plays a bit like Rainbow Six. So I'm good to go-ish. I still suck at it, but I atleast have some experience now.

Happy Birthday Berbunch's wife!

Also, why can't they bloody make games like this anymore!? A Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon with the old gameplay(especially the planning before hand in RB6) with fancy new graphics would be amazing.

Steady with your birthday greetings - she's not the biggest fan of SUBSIM - it's mostly stolen her husband, and if it's not this site it's the people from here that have my attention as the evenings wear on and I'm clock watching...

I can understand from a Major Publisher, but what's the excuse from companies that make Simulators, or Indie Developers.

Budget, probably. Needs rather complex AI, which takes an awfull amount of time and effort... think that's the main issue.

If they could pull it off on 400 MHZ processors, and the budgets that were popular back then, I don't see how an Indie Developer or Simulation company(who usually have high budgets anyways, and high costing games) couldn't produce one.
