Default [REQ] Morse Code

I don't know if this exists already, but would it be possible to make a mod that would enable you to hear some morse code when you receive a radio message? What I'm refering to is similar to what is in GWX for SH3. I think it would add a nice touch to the immersion factor. While I'm in the asking mood, would it be possible to delay the response time to radio messages? When you send a status report, the response comes immediately. A slight delay would seem alittle more realistic IMO.

Are you related to the Creature of the Black Lagoon? Just kidding. There is a Morse Code mode. However, the messages are random, and I cannot read Morse Code, so I do not know what the messages say or if they say anything. I used it for awhile and then tossed it, along with most of my other 700+ mod downloads.

I think the Mod you're talking about, is actually a radio station. You would have to install it as such, and have to tune the radio and listen to Morse Code. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm refering to when you send a status report/contact report, or receive Flash Traffic, it would be nice for a sound byte of Morse Code to play before you read the message. Just like in GWX.

Fish, all you need to do is create a short WAV file of morse code and replace the "Message Traffic Received" files in each of the nine voice subfolders in the Sound folder. Pretty easy.

If you can find that file in GWX you should be able to export it as is and use it.

Everybody has their own version of immersion. The reality is that the radioman gets a message at his station, gives it to a runner who takes it to the captain. I was a radioman, and I don't recall one instance where the captain was anywhere near the radio room when a message came in.
