no need for language like that
![]() often this happens when the saved game gets corrupted somehow, maybe its because it is dependent on some mod or mod version you uninstalled in order to work right and finding the exact right combination is depending on pure luck and chance. its not the game its the saved game so reinstalling will not help you. your saved games are just no longer usable now |

Just lost a good career this way - save game failed to load and the game crashed. I was near a harbor (less than 20 nm), so my guess is that the game crashed when it tried to load all the additional ships and ground objects nearby.

a good practice is to double save your saved games so you have a baxckup if the main save gets corrupted. i will often keep a save point from last port or something like that so i only lose a short period of game play if something happens. this wouldnt help you if the issue was mod related but it is still a good habit to do.
often saving before some game action completes such as a ship sinking, being recorded as sunk, then the time it takes before it vanishes, or reaching the memory limits of your computer can screw things up with game saves but many times its hard to really know why these corruptions happen |

my solution: i make 2 saves and i have an excel file wich contains each JSGME mod profiles and their corespondent savegames. sometimes if you try to load a save game after you modify game (adding or disabling mods, etc) will not correspond and you'll have errors, but if you keep some order and make 2 or 3 saves you increase chance to have 1 to work
and keeping a little evidence of modes and saves you don't need multiple installations so you will make disk economy i hope will help some of you, is very frustrating to loose a good campaign ![]() |
