Hi all!
Just installed OM through JGSME over a stock copy of SH4. When i load it up nothing different is showing to let me know that i have the mod installed..do i just start the U-Boat missions and that's it? Plus do i need any patches? I have tried to access the OM thread for answers but all i get is: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 10439 bytes) in /home/subsimc/public_html/radioroom/showthread.php on line 1275 |

Is your copy the U-Boat Missions version (1.5)? OM won't work with the original 1.4 version. You need to buy the U-Boat missions add-on or the Gold version.

In that case OM probably didn't install properly. OM has a very distinctive loading screen, which tells you exactly what it is.

Well something is wrong somewhere, iv'e installed and un-installed OM_V705 six times now and everytime SH4 starts up, OM isn't loaded. I have even tried it patched and unpatched.
This is all through JGSME, RFB and TMO work perfectly fine....anybody? |

I am betting that is problem is being caused by how some of the files for OM extract.JSGME will not take multi layed file folders some of the OM unzips multi layered I know because I have had the same issue before and was baffled by it until I looked and realized the problem caused by the layered folders.
To make it simple OpsMonson_705 unzips like this: OPsMonsun_V705 OPsMonsun_V705 Data It needs to look like this in your SH4 MODS folder in order for JSGME to be able to "read" the actual data of the mod: OPsMonsun_V705 Data OMv705_to_V720 and OMv720_Patch5 both unzip in a JSGME friendly manner OMEGU_v300_pkg uzips and needs to be configured to be JSGME friendly the main mod is the last file folder the others are optional mods that must be placed into the SH4 MODS folder separately: It needs to look like this for JSGME: OMEGU_v300 Data OMEGU_V300_Patch_pkg also needs configuration there are four separate files inside you need OMEGU_V300__Patch7 alone to be in the SH4 MODS folder the other files are more optional mods that must be placed into the MODS folder separately. OMEGU_V300__Patch7 Data Also any OMEGU optional mods need to come after the OMEGU_V300s in JSGME. Another way to confirm that JSGME is reading the Data files and installing them: each time you stack a mod it should ask for approval to overwrite data which the answer is yes if it does not ask this something is not in order folder wise and the mod did not take You should see a painting of a type XI sub and a burning tanker in place of the normal load screen and the main menu screen should have various pictures and videos of the grey wolves in the back ground you will then need to select U-boat campaign do not look at the museum it will always cause a game crash and from some of the French ports you must start outside the harbor.
