I know that this question is somewhat out of place relative to DW, but I thought this would be a place to get an answer.
I was watching the History Channel on the HMS Belfast. All the gun crews were wearing white hoods and white gloves. I have seen that before. What exactly is this garb and what is its purpose? Thanks.
