Hey,

The problem is, i started me first mission in the campain HappyTimes
in the intro at the port, the officer tells me that they taken Belgium,Netherlands and France is under Blitzkrieg attack.

And when i start the patrol around the 20th of Juine 1940
i pass by the Netherlands and Belgium coastline to have a look
and i see a couple of Brittish cargo ships heading towards
Zeebrugge and Rotterdam.

Are those cargo ships even aware that Germany have taken those country's

Are you making your way through the channel ? You shouldn't do that...
And the cargo ships may take refugees to England ? Anyway, just don't care...

Mheh. Reminds me of my first forays into SH5, before I added OHII to the mod mix, where I found this one Polish freighter stuck in Kiel when I skipped the tutorial and started my first patrol on September 3rd. Obviously it hadn't gotten out yet on that date, so I just ignored it. Wasn't sure that opening fire in my own port, even though the target was now a belligerent, would be a good idea. So I return on the 15th, only to find the silly thing still sitting there. The AI obviously had trouble plotting a course out of there for it and, for some reason, none of the German war ships in Kiel had the heart to sink it.

So I did. With the deck gun. In broad daylight. I wasn't about to have my crew switch to whisper mode (enemy ship nearby) every time I tried to enter or leave my own port.

I got the tonnage for it too. Almost felt bad about that.

Anyway. Are you using OHII? If not, those ships may disappear when you advance to the next "level" on the campaign screen. Or you can just decide to grab some easy tonnage by blasting the snot out of them.

It was interred, and being put into service by the German merchant navy. BdU would like to talk to you, and after them the Gestapo.

Nah, I agree it's funny. It might be cool if what I described happened in a game, but the reality is that it would have been siezed and the flag changed immidiately. If you can get a freebie in your own harbor, go for it!

Of course! Damn, am I ever in trouble now! It had only been 12 days and, with typical German bureaucracy moving at glacial speed, they were probably still trying to find out who had jurisdiction over flag-lowering!

Dammit! Say, Steve, can I hide out in your Boat for a bit? At least until mine is done refitting so I can go off on a patrol of, say, the Indian Ocean until all of this blows over? It would be greatly appreciated

With OHII v1.7
Your very first objective (03/09/39) is to go and hunt all these stray Polish ships down before the Tommies get their hands on them

A bit later I almost sunk a stray Polish merchant, I had him lined up and everything, ...then I double checked the date. I knew that we (Germany) had taken Poland by this time and sure enough, FRIENDLY!! I almost lost a few points on that one.
