Be aware, you can't believe the marks on the SH map regarding the boundries of Allied air coverage. I'm passing though quadrant DT and have been attacked twice by B-24's. Those things don't fly off of carriers folks, they're land based. Yet the map shows that area to be far, far away from any Allied air coverage. Map lies... I'm running version 1.4 with no mods. ![]()

Yeah it does, it has happened to me as well. Thew thing is, obviously, that the patches have changed many aspects of the game quite a lot, so the map isn't up-to-date anymore in some respect. Some shipping lanes have changed etc. This is why I always before even leaving port use compass to mark the Allied air cover range on the navmap but a couple of times have still been nastily surpised while at 'safe' area. So it goes.

Air power range was increased with 1.4. There are numerous mods out there that reduce the air ranges back to their original values. My personal favorite is this one. Rather handy if you don't want to be constantly attacked by aircraft in places that aren't realistic.

Also the lines are just an average, different planes can fly different distances
