It started of as the Iblitz Campaign for SH2, and became Wolves At War with SH3. Basically they act as BdU and give you assignments, which you complete as a single-player but reporting back so you're a part of a greater campaign instead of fighting the war alone.

Just read over their site. You'll get a good idea of what it's about.

I'm not sure. Real-life complications kept me from ever actually playing, but I've always wanted to. I'd suggest just posting there and seeing what happens. In fact now that you've reminded me I might do that myself.

So thank you.

Yes WAW is still operating and Campaign five has just been completed.

As Steve has said, we act as BdU and provide assignments to individual boats and act as a part of the greater campaign.

You are more than welcome to check it out and join.

Good hunting,
FUBAR295

Cool! Sounds like the time is finally right for me to join in. I've only been trying for six years!

Having been a part of 4 of the 5 WaW campaigns, it is fun. It also looks like the long awaited Pacific Fleetboat edition using SH4 is finally going to get started.

Will this mean they will stop doing the SH3 side of things?

'Stryker' is very impressed. This is a very well organized site, forum and immersion time machine for serious simmers and history buffs. Hopefully they will continue SH3. I don't own SH4.

We are looking to get WAW Pacific going shortly. It does require using SH4.

For the WAW Atlantik we use SH3.

As I indicated above, we just about finished up WAW V and traditionally we take a short break of a few weeks to make any changes to rules, command structure and the like once the current campaign has been completed.

We will start WAW VI if we have enough participants for the Atlantik.

Good Hunting,
FUBAR295
