Hola Folks, my first post
![]() Anyway the question i want to ask is in the latest version of NewUIs with TDC for SH5 by TheDarkWraith when i hit the dive button it does not level of at 40m like in the discription and would go all the way to the bottom if i aint carefull with time compression is this intended? Also does using the officer panel version of battlestations have any effect? or should i just use the one you get for talking to the XO? |

Yeah, be really careful with the Dive and Crash Drive buttons and commands. In TDW's NewUI they are set to the "realistic" values of 140-150 meters. Great for use in the open ocean, but if you're in shallow waters issue the command then hover your mouse over the "Maintain Depth" button and hit it 5-10 meters or so above the depth you want to hold at.
Also the button for Crash Dive will do the teleport you to the Radio Room, wait for 20 seconds, then Crash Dive. If you wanted to avoid that wait you can manually run down the ladder (or teleport) and use Shift-V to Crash Dive without waiting. Sometimes it seems I need to hit it twice or so for it to work however. The Battlestations button gives you a pretty light showing that you're at Battlestations. I believe it imparts some kind of performance improvements to your crew maybe? I just do it since I like shiny things. Perhaps someone who isn't as easily distracted might know what it actually does. ![]() Welcome to the forums! |
