In America, 'Liberal' is a dirty word. If you say im a 'liberal' in the US you can expect ridicule.
In the UK 'Conservative' is dirty word. If you say im a 'conservative' in the UK you can expect ridicule.

Limeys and Yanks are very different (considering how well we seem to get along)

I'm north-ish (not that Jim would agree), I don't have a whippet or a flat cap but I do like black pudding (not that my doctor would agree) and I don't vote Red! And I thought, according to programs like Location, Location, Location that all the rich barstewards with money moved from darn saarf up to the Lakes/Northumberland/Scotland?

Probabaly because it will be a lot safer up there than London once the economy collapes and WW3 kicks off

Still sounds better than the american 2 party monopoly.

At least with parliamentiary system you (voters) can "give the other side a go" without large scale obstruction and fillibusters.

So Fox said to parliament this was all just chance encounters, nothing really crossed the boundaries of politics and private business and no national issues were involved......yet his friend booked into the international defence conference giving the Houses of Parliament as his address and assistant to the secratary of defence as his personal details, and the booking was made by a private company run by Fox.

Have they ever thought of running for office in Ireland, they would fit right in and it is a european destination of choice for dodgy backdoor arms dealers.
