Default Where is everyone meeting for MP games?

Hyperlobby has been dead a long time now. Where is everyone?

On my end I usually use some sort of Instant Messenger and its mostly adhoc games. But with the new patch GameSpy Support was officially added and GS opened up a new Game Room for Dangerous Waters, so that would be one place. Another solution would be to post your Availability times on the Commanders Academy & Dive Center (CADC) Calendar or look if someone already posted times and check if you can play then.

Nevertheless you could pay a visit to the CADC (former DW Tips&Tricks Vault) and look around, maybe post some Tips of your own.

Cheers

Yep but if people start using gamespy it would help, ie the fleets that are going.

I log on most nights and see null people.

Maybe I'm missing something here.
I dowloaded the 1.03 beta patch but there is no way to acess gamespy from within the game.
Do I have to download a specific client to make it work ?

You're talking about gamespy arcade 2.0 ?
To be honest I prefer Hyperlobby over the basic gamespy because of the absense of ad-ware in Hyperlobby.

Game Spy comes with 103 beta patch and the retail version.
Not much activity though (on both HL and GS).

Wierd, I didn't find a gamespy program in the patch.
The only file I have is an icon file of gamespy.

Yep, quite some time has passed.
I have been busy, stopped playing dw for some months because of falcon 4 allied force (had to learn the cougar hotas i bought hehe...).
Then real life kicked in, had other priorities so computer gaming suffered a lot.
I'm now waiting for the final release of the 1.03 patch before starting multiplayer again.
I hope they will release it before christmas .

I didn't forget that, but I'm still playing from time to time single player.
Haven't tried yet multiplayer.

Well, I did it twice...a bit messy...you lose Situation Awareness quite easily...

Gamespy installed itself in its own program group on the Start Menu instead of being inside SCS where you're probably looking for it.

Nope, i searched everywere on my computer and it was not installed.
I don't understand.
DW was already installed with the latest fixes (no mods).
Then I installed the 1.03 beta patch and everything works fine (except for the gamma bug) but no sign whatsoever of gamespy.
The only sign of gamespy I was able to find was the icon file in DW folder and thats it.
Its a real mystery.
