Default Game Documention

Guys I just installed SH IV 1.5 with TMO mod no problems here so far but am confused about documention. TMO has a nice 55 page manual but I am wondering about any others that might be out there to help me with the basics of the get like inserting way points and basics like that. I am a vetern of SH III but alot of the key strokes are different. Did SH IV come with any printed material or PDF doc all I need is a five or six page out doc to get me to the basics help if you can

John, you'll find a copy of the printed manual in the root folder of the Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific game. Use Windows Explorer to find where you put the game when you first installed it. With WinXP, one usually will find the root folder of the game under C:/Program Files/UbiSoft/Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific. Other OS's will be different.

The manual is in the Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific/Support/SilentHunter4Manual.pdf. Like the extension reads, it's a PDF so you'll need "Adobe Reader" to open it.

There's also the keyboard reference image that displays the stock game keyboard settings. The "SH4_Q-Ref_Card_Front.jpg" displays the image. Since you're using TMO, some of the key commands aren't the same, so check the TMO documentation for its commands. If nothing else use the F1 key in-game to see what TMO's keyboard commands are.

If you open up the SH3 and SH4 Data/Cfg/Commands files you can see what they changed and actually make SH4 have the same Key functions as SH3. That's what I did, though I've changed some of both to fit my personal tastes.

TMO's manual sure is great, and a good read even for those who do not use this mod.
