- not surprised here either. I left the UK 11 years ago, and to me at least it was patently obvious then that things were going awry. The level of anger and number of incidents of random violence and vandalism is far beyond anything I have witnessed in any other country I have ever visited (and I've been about).

Something is seriously wrong in old blighty, and with the future outlook I can only conclude that it will get worse. The only solution I see would surely need to involve a sea-change in the way people think, as right now many of the UK's youth simply don't give a toss- about anything.

I'd say the stupid on the streets are the lesser evil of the two.
That said mankind are now broken. A sick society. Functional chaos at best but chaos never achieves anything sustainable. The only thing sustainable in chaos is a sustainable descend to destruction.

People need spirituality, a real one.

That was a big industrial dispute.....
There are many many dozens of industrial disputes in Britain that have been very violent with quite a bit of rioting and burning and looting, but that isn't one of them.

Yeah, not really.

This situation was always going happen. There's only so much that can be taken away from people before they start to rise up in protest. Saw this coming years ago.

Unfortunately, there's no recourse for anyone to follow to appease this.

The most I see happening is a curfew in major cities.

While I don't agree with the violence, burning and general terror being brought down by the participants, I do agree and support their reasons. This countries government will do well to remember where the true 'power' resides in this country.

Some yank once said "..that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing..."
